Advice on financial problems and business continuity
Financial difficulties require clear decisions and legal insight. Poelman c.s. helps entrepreneurs identify risks and consider solutions that protect business continuity as far as possible.
Where possible, we focus on preventing escalation and achieving practical outcomes. Where proceedings are required, we represent clients firmly in legal processes and negotiations.
Assistance with WHOA restructurings and business restarts
The Dutch Act on Court Confirmation of Extrajudicial Restructuring Plans (WHOA), also referred to internationally as the Dutch Scheme, enables businesses to restructure debts and avoid bankruptcy where possible. Our lawyers assist companies in WHOA proceedings, negotiations with creditors and legal proceedings concerning restructurings.
We also advise entrepreneurs on business restarts, acquisitions from bankruptcy and the strategic repositioning of companies.
