Background
Martin studied law at Radboud University Nijmegen, formerly known as the Catholic University of Nijmegen. He subsequently completed the Master’s programme in European Judicial Studies at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht. He also completed the INSOLAD/Grotius specialist postgraduate programme in Insolvency Law at the Grotius Academy and the specialist programme in Financial Economics for Insolvency Practitioners at Erasmus University Rotterdam, in co-operation with INSOLAD.
Martin has extensive experience assisting clients in difficult and challenging situations. As the son of a lawyer, he seemed destined to enter
the legal profession. After several years at Royal Philips, he established himself as an independent attorney-at-law. Since then, his practice has focused primarily on commercial matters, with litigation forming an important part of that work. He has previously acted as bankruptcy trustee and administrator and has been involved in a range of high-profile cases and proceedings.
Additional positions and memberships
Martin is legal adviser to Park Medisch Centrum in Rotterdam, an independent treatment centre. He is also a member of INSOLAD.
